It's quite fascinating to observe what's going on in other parts of the world via the webcams that our spread all over the planet. These specific images are from the Barrow webcam. In them, you can see how the place changes colors as the light shifts, and how the water becomes ice, and then the ice turns back to water again. A whole year can be reduced to just a few minutes of static images.
